💙 A Day of Rest… A Day to Simply Be 💙

Since the beginning of the war in Ukraine, Danuta, our devoted project coordinator in Poland, has been a lifeline for hundreds of refugee families. Many of them are single mothers raising three or more children, doing everything they can to build a new life far from home, often with no one to lean on but each other.

The majority of those she supports are children-bright, brave, and carrying more than any child ever should.

Once a year, Danuta gives these families something truly rare and deeply needed:

A Day of Rest.

It’s a day with no appointments, no paperwork, no survival-mode worries. A day where children can run, laugh, and be loud. Where parents can talk openly, be understood without words, and simply exhale.

This year, on June 7th, around 100 people-mostly children and their heroic parents-will come together to share warmth, friendship, and joy.
